Aspiring baker Strawberry Shortcake arrives in Big Apple City to get her big break — and have flan-tastic adventures with her new berry besties!

Strawberry Shortcake and her friends journey over the rainbow in a berry enchanting retelling of The Wonderful Wizard of Oz! When a cyclone blows Strawberry to Oz, she runs afoul of a Wicked Witch and must journey to the Emerald City to ask the Wizard for help getting home. With her faithful dog Pupcake by her side, Strawberry meets Ginger Snap as the Scarecrow, Peppermint Fizz as the Tin Woodsgirl, and Orange Blossom as the Cowardly Lion. After making a big impression down the Berry Brick Road, the Munchkin-like Berrykins call on Strawberry and her friends to save the Gem-Berries whose glow lights the whole land of Oz. The Berrykins have been wasting what few Gem-Berries are left, and the Wicked Witch is out to destroy them entirely. It's up to Strawberry and her pals to save the day!

Welcome to Berry Bitty City, a berry special little world under the leaves of a berry patch. It may be small, but Berry Bitty City is big on fun and adventure. It's where Strawberry Shortcake and all her friends live. Together, they prove that little girls can do berry big things. There's always something fun to do, and when someone needs help, her friends are always there to lend a hand.

When a carefree woman learns that her closeted friend is gay, the two form an inseparable bond and find comfort in each other's company.

The story is set in New York which is lit up with Christmas lights. Tokyo Metropolitan Police officer Akari Kido is directing traffic while on her international exchange training program, when a witch-like character pulls a "Christmas Party" prank. Just before a runaway trailer truck smashes into Akari, a mysterious girl suddenly appears and shouts, "I'm going to protect New York and Akari!"

The winter holidays find Bear and his friends planning a big celebration. They're all getting ready for Christmas, but also learn about Hanukkah and Kwanzaa. Bear also celebrates his favorite tradition, the finding of the winter berry. As things start out, Pip and Pop have put together a reindeer wreath. Everyone wants to help out with the wreath, so Bear suggests they all add something of their own. Later, the group meets Santa Hogg and presents him with a large list of holiday wishes. Then there's a bit of an argument when Treelo wants to open everyone's presents and not just his own. In the Shadow segment, Shadow thanks Bear for his gift of a scarf --- Shadows don't get cold, but it's the thought that counts. She then sings the song "It's Kwanzaa Time." After hearing a howling noise, the group takes in an old hound named Jack with no home and invites him to stay at the Big Blue House for the holidays. This gets everyone thinking about the true meaning of the holidays.

A lonely taxi driver working the late shift is befriended by one of his passengers.

A brief encounter between a man and woman on the sidewalk inspires the woman to bake a delicious cake. Her recipe is quite untraditional and the result of her baking is much more powerful than simply a delicious dessert.

Pimsai went to San Francisco to find her boyfriend. She doesn't know that he went to go be a boy-toy for an old widow. He sold his apartment to John. Pimsai, thinking her boyfriend is still living there, goes to the apartment and sleeps in John's bed. Since she has no place to go or any contact with her boyfriend, John lets Pimsai stay and they become roomates. He takes her to work at a friend's restaurant. That's just the beginning of their story.
